But the Belkin still is priced decently compared to what I have seen out there. You can get cables just as good as this from Monoprice at a lower price, however. This cable looks good, seems to be made well, and it works. The price isn't bad, either, compared to how you would get gouged for the same or similar items at a brick and mortar chain.
I use Monster Cables primarily but the price, sound clarity and solid construction quality make Belkin a strong competitor. I must admit i was surprised at how quickly the retailer was able to ship this item to me. I've connected it up to my Yamaha RX-V663 AV Receiver from my Denon 1940CI DVD/SACD Player and i'm blown away by the sound clarity.
My only regret is that I now think I should've gotten a longer one. Given the low price and adequate sound signaling, I can say I'm happy with the purchase. Recommended for people who don't have far to connect. I was trying to hook my computer up to the surround sound system in my game room. But since this computer is ancient by electronic standards, I'm only able to use this digital coaxial cable till the day I upgrade arrives.
Will recommend it to other buyers. Good build quality, doesn't feel cheaply made, and it plugs in firmly into place. I am using this cable to connect the sound from my pioneer upconvert dvd player to onkyo 7.1 home theater system. Sound is perfect.
Worked perfect, would definitely recommend. It worked perfectly, and the belkin reliability does not hurt. I have an older Kenwood receiver with the orange digital/pcm stream port requiring a digital coaxial audio cable. I bought this cable, as it was the only way I could get dolby digital surround while playing movies with 5.1 dolby digital surround sound (from the five speakers) instead of dolby pro-logic.
